ORPHANS

ORPHANS around the world need your support

We know that there are orphans in every country. We know that they are forced to live a very struggling life. But do we actually know how many orphans there are in this world? Do we know how stressful and painful their lives are? Well, let us give you a glimpse of the numbers.

UNICEF estimated that an outraging 153 million children worldwide are orphans. Just to give you an idea of how big the number is – it is almost 3 times more than the combined population of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and UAE.

Around 5,700 children become orphans every year because of war, poverty, disease, and natural disasters.

A child becomes an AIDS orphan in Africa every 15 seconds.

60% of orphan girls will fall victim to the sex trade and around 15% will commit suicide before hitting puberty.

These orphans need our help and support now more than ever.

OUR AIM

Making education an attainable goal for children leading impoverished and difficult lives.

Empowering the next generation to gain the knowledge and skills to allow them to build a better life.

Providing the resources to ensure children do not go hungry at school.

YOU CAN HELP

For £17 per month, Mama welfare will provide a child with daily box school meals.

Children should not have to go hungry at school and we are working hard to ensure the children we support are able to attend school and learn whilst eating properly throughout the day

Orphans

"I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in paradise like this" (Putting his index and middle fingers together)

THE PROPHET (PEACE AND BLESSINGS BE UPON HIM)

Who is more deserving of help than a child who has no one? Wars, disease, disasters and famine are just some of the realities millions of children across the world face, and through facing these already distressing hardships - often end up orphaned.

Defenceless, vulnerable and having to fend for themselves, many children end up facing horrors we cannot even imagine. Losing one or both parents leads to a harrowing life of poverty, abuse and often not even knowing where their next meal will come from.

OUR AIMS

To fight for every orphans right to family care

To provide poor children access to a good education

To build and refurbish schools to ensure that vulnerable children have access to a quality education.

To empower children to become more self-sufficient and contributors to their communities through education
